Suffer the Little Children: Al-Unidos Liberation Chronicles Book 2 Kindle Edition
The Chief—Chuck Carson—is tied up at the congress in Pendleton, Oregon. Whisked away in the pre-dawn aboard a small Cessna, his input and leadership are critical to the visionary patriots who want to carve out a piece of Al-Unidos for themselves and their families.
But The Chief wants to be in the fight, not talking and debating several hundred miles from people who depend on him. He feels he has abandoned his friends and family. He left lifelong friend Cal in charge of the crew—with orders to get them safely home to Boise.
Marshal Christie challenges Cal’s authority, threatening to inject disunity into the small team of over-the-hill heroes who can’t consider their mission complete until everyone is safely home to Idaho.
Rescue a group of friends and neighbors who were caught and imprisoned by the new west coast nation of Al-Unidos. That’s what The Chief asked Vietnam veteran, Cal Durham, and a team of other close friends to do. Mission accomplished. Almost. They made it from Alcatraz to Red Bluff, California. One more long day’s drive and they’ll be home to Boise. At least it would work like that in normal times.
But these are not normal times.

- C Lovick - Perry once again spins a very good story, a great follow up. . . When I finished the first book, I felt like it needed to be longer. . . I wanted more and was happy to find out there was. He does a great job of painting of vivid picture of the story, connecting you to the characters and making you feel like you are there. Interesting plot like that is just this side of possible. I think there can even be enough story line for another follow up book and would buy it too.
The new Commonwealth of Al-Unidos has its own Pledge of Allegiance:
“I declare my dependence on the collective and devote myself to the Commonwealth of Al-Unidos, the Rainbow State of Acceptance, Tolerance, and Inclusion. I embrace Diversity and Love for all organisms, decrying Hate in thought, word, and deed. This is my pledge before Mother Earth."

About the author

Dave is an active writer living in eastern Washington. Having graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, he loves writing about the history of the brave sailors who went before me, opening the sea lanes for the greatest naval force in the world.
A few years ago, while watching our nation become more and more divided, he decided to create a world in "The Al-Unidos Chronicles" to allow states and individuals to do something about it. The fun part of this new series is how he has written the characters of people he knows and loves into the story.
He currently divides his time between the two series. Enjoy them both!

I would recommend it to all loyal Americans who have become complacent with our country and its government.
I did have a difficult time following the different plotlines and keeping the characters differentiated/clear in my mind, but I hadn't read the prequel (first book), so maybe that's the reason for my difficulty.
