Four Ever Kindle Edition
Seemingly content to walk on eggshells around one another, things come to a head when ER nurse Zak brings his work home with him… literally.
After being forced to leave their posh Southern California lives, homeless stepbrothers Liam and Noah are slowly losing themselves to the streets they can’t seem to escape. When twenty-one-year-old Liam is beaten up while protecting his younger “brother,” the pair find themselves being welcomed into a home where being a stray is considered a good thing. But Liam and nineteen-year-old Noah have learned the hard way that nothing is given for free and there’s no such thing as the kindness of strangers. Survival means only counting on and trusting in each other.
Will Zak and Killian’s offer of a no-strings-attached place to heal end up being more than any of the four men bargained for? Especially when feelings between Liam and Noah begin to crawl to the surface and the truth of what Zak and Killian’s relationship has turned into becomes harder to deny?
And what happens when lines begin to blur and needs start to change? Will Zak, Killian, Liam, and Noah end up going their separate ways?
Or will they learn that love doesn’t always come in twos?
*This is a novel about a foursome relationship, not just a story of two separate couples in physical relationships with one another. Thus, there is no “cheating” in this story. This is a standalone novel.
Trigger Warning: The trigger warnings in this book may be considered "spoilerish" so they can be found by using the "Look Inside" feature or by downloading the sample and going to the section entitled "Trigger Warning."

About the author
Although Sloane Kennedy always dreamed of being a writer as a teenager, she didn't take the plunge until 2015 when she released her first novel. Since then, she has released nearly 30 books including the Amazon best-selling "Pelican Bay" and "Protectors" series. While she initially began writing M/F romance, she found her true passion writing gay romance and nearly all of her most recent releases reached the #1 spot on Amazon's Gay Romance bestseller list and several have made it to Amazon's overall bestseller list. Sloane was born in Germany but grew up in the U.S. and although she currently lives in Wisconsin, the place where she has always felt most at home is Seattle and many of her books take place in the Emerald city. When not writing, a menagerie of 2 dogs, 3 cats and 2 horses takes up what little time she has left in the day!

With Liam and Noah staying at the house, Killian and Zak are communicating even less than before, and it seems like no one is able to talk about the emotions and feelings each is being plagued with. Except for Noah, who just can't talk, he hardly makes a sound. But it's Noah who is the bravest out of the four. They have to navigate the gauntlet in their existing relationships, as well as this new one that is forming between them.
I'm a Kennedy fan, and I had heard so much about this book I was excited for it. But then I started it and I found myself not excited, and I was easily distracted by other life things. I was having a hard time getting into the story, which is not normal for me, especially with this author. But I kept reading, and it was all worth it. The underlying issue, rusting your partner with your fears and failings, is something everyone can relate to, no matter what type of relationship they are in. That is what makes this book so powerful, because (** SPOILER ALERT **) all four of them start talking about their past problems, it happens again at the end of the book, and could have really crushed them all (** END ALERT **). So if you have tried to read this book, or thinking about it, and you are somehow reading my review, just give it a chance and you will be as attached to it as I am now.
“Four Ever” is about four troubled men who somehow find comfort in each other. It's an unusual story of the start of an unconventional relationship. It's so unconventional that it even scares all four of the people involved. Killian, Zak, Noah and Liam all come across as very real people, and each has their own unique story to tell about how they arrived at the point where all four of them meet.
Zak and Killian are at the center of the story. They're the ones with a mature if slightly shaky relationship. Exactly why they're having communication problems takes a while to come out. Frankly, the constant allusion to “things” they did that they feel guilty about but can't discuss got a little annoying before the details finally emerged about halfway in. I'm also finding the “men can't talk about their feelings” trope a little over-used and tiresome.
Liam and Noah are the younger men that are potential cuckoos in the nest. Unlike the other two, it's not that hard to guess at how the two ended up in their current situation, although some of the details are a bit harrowing when they finally come out. You'll definitely want to heed the trigger warnings for this book if you're a sensitive reader.
There are two couples in this book. We have Killian and Zak who have been together for 7 years and then Liam and Noah who are a young couple and I will let you discover all about them via the book itself. Then there is the four of the guys together. All four of these guys have been through great deal a great deal of a lot both as couples and also as individuals. This is why I say this book is not for the faint of heart. But if if you have handle that part of the book, than this book is so worth your read. It is great read that touches on so many things that happen out in the world today. Look at the cover of this book and see the heat level. Yes that is is hawt, Hawt, HAWT! Well written and for me one of the best MMMM books i have read.

I always had the impression, based on previous experiences, that one or even more of them would always remain shallow or left behind like a spare wheel.
This book is splendid, the writing is deep, but it’s straightforward and crystal clear is every single aspect of this relationship.
It brings an unconventional male foursome but completely filled with the same aspects every single stable and strong relationship should have, such as passion, thrusting, reliability, unconditional love, companionship, friendship and an adorable sense of belonging.
Based on the same experiences I had, I was concerned when, not only the complexity of each of the personalities had but the drama that their past brought, started to unleash. Everything was so complex and deep, I thought there would not be pages enough to clarify and mend all the shattered pieces they had.
I had the fear that everything could be poorly explained and would leave that terrible taste in my mouth that everyone that read a shallow book had the displeasure of experience.
But, thanks to the impeccable talent of the author, everything was explained in details.
Need to mention that there are absolutely no “insta/you better believe” feelings happening here either as you can see the feelings blossom right in front of your eyes.
Thumbs up and hands down one of the best books I read lately.
I'm a big fan of poly relationships in any constellation but lately I was specifically searching for a good foursome relationship that isn't (Reverse) Harem. It doesn't surprise me that Sloane Kennedy had written that kind of story. I read a lot of her books in 2022 and she's one of my favorite authors now especially when it comes to gay love books. Of course Four Ever didn't disappointed. The chemistry between the characters was soooo good. Like at the beginning you had those 2 couples both loving and caring for each other but lacking something. Their relationship development was amazing. Really each character connected beautifully with all the other boys on their own. In the end you could only see them as one unit. It wouldn't be possible for them to be separate. Besides their amazingly written chemistry each character on it's own is lovely. My heart is especially aching for Noah. His story really broke me and I wouldn't have guessed it to be so disturbing. But also sweet Liam who gave up a lot for protecting Noah while having his own sad upcoming. Then we have Zak(the spelling of his name triggers me a bit but I accept it for him being a babe) who empathizes with every human or animal that needs help. He's a cutie. You just want to cuddle him close to you and never let him go. And then there is Killian. Fell in love with him right away. He might be a bit grumpy but also realistic, non judgemental and driven by a lot of guilt. He's suffering so much and is in need of all three of the men. A loyal soul as you can finde one with a super big heart.
I appreciated this book very much and it shows how beautiful a poly relationship can be.
Hope Sloane Kennedy thinks about writing another because she really never disappoints.

There's so many feels packed into this book.
When Zak brings two young men home from the hospital where he works as a nurse his and Killians already rocky relationship starts to tip. Though for different reasons then the other is thinking.
All four men have been through a lot in their lives especially the last few years.
What I really loved about this story is that the side characters where animals and they played a big part in helping to connect everyone in their own way especially Waldo the toucan.
Noah and Liam left home 6 months prior and had been living on the streets, so when Zak brought them home that had a place to heal both physically and mentally.
You just have to read this book if you're wanting a deep emotional read thats not fluff. Oh and the sex scenes are WOW!
Zak and Killian have been together for 7 years and their relationship is strained and frayed.
Liam and Noah are stepbrothers who feel more for each other that they haven’t yet admitted.
Zak brings Liam and Noah home with him and the feelings of all four men start to bubble to the surface. Underlying problems from the past cause pain for all of them men. Will they see that the way forward is with the four of them together? Or will they separate and go their own ways?
I was in tears at some parts of this book. I knew that Noah’s story was going to be heartbreaking and it was even more so than I could have imagined. Killian’s struggles were also difficult, as were the feelings of Zak and Liam as they supported their men. A must read.
I fell in love with every single one of the characters! We meet Killian and Zak first, watching them try to get past their issues but also not opening up to each other for fear of upsetting the other further. They can see a divide in their relationship, and neither wants to walk away, but don't know what to do to bridge the gap. We then meet Liam and Noah when Liam is admitted into the ER where Zak works. While Liam is being unconscious and being treated, Noah doesn't cope, and being mute and suffering from anxieties as well, he can't communicate with strangers. Zak manages to convince him to come home with him to be somewhere safe until Liam wakes. Noah then gets sick so when Liam wakes and freaks out about Noah, who he has been protecting for years, being gone, he ends up at Zak and Killian's house too.
What ensues is an amazing story of 4 broken people finding their missing pieces in each other. While Zak and Killian begin to open up fully to each other, it is only because of Liam and Noah that they do, so their rekindled relationship is intertwined with Liam and Noah. Similarly, the stepbrothers finally admit their feelings for each other, but again, that only occurs due to their developing friendship with Zak and Killian, and those feelings develop into more as they are now linked with their love for each other. The chemistry between all 4 of them - every combination - was palpable, and the intimate scenes were scorching hot but also full of love and compassion.
I loved that no part of this story was rushed, and that we had a realistic outcome for each and every character. There was no quick fix, and the struggles they had at the start of the story were still there, but being managed and supported now it was all out in the open.
An inspiring and beautiful read - one I would highly recommend.
