Was very good action and story building the explanations are excellent as too the progression of why Eloise is going on the ship to another plant to locate a missing government official and his family she’s a singular and has the ability too sense people and where they are located. Logan has fought for the chance to escort her and protect her while going to the planet and will on the mission. Eloise doesn’t like being around people as she can feel all their emotions unless she puts up her mental wall. But she an omega! They’re very rare but is not educated as too what an omega really is and how an alpha can effect her. Her exam to make sure she’s healthy explained that it’s an expectation to invest in her Alpha protector to ensure his full commitment to her security. The Alpha who won expects having complete control over her and also her submission too any and all his sexual wants which are quite interesting and she has no ideas for what’s about to happen! She’s in for the ride of her life!

The premise was good but the execution didn't work for me. Maybe my issue is that this is my 1st read for the Auth and thier writing style just didn't work for me. There was zero connection between the mcs for me. This boarders on dub-con for me and that was not in the trigger warning.

I have one complaint, and I was going to take a star away for it, but this book is more of a 6 star book so it still gets a 5/5. My complaint is that the "virus" situation is unclear. I dont want to give spoilers so I'll try and make it vague. Eloise has an idea about the virus and information to do with the virus but it doesnt really make sense what shes thinking and what shes intending to do. Its possible that I'm just unclear about how the virus and the research work in general.

So, I hope to get a better understanding of how the virus works in the subsequent books.

On that note, the virus and the war are a really interesting backdrop for the interpersonal drama of the characters. I think the character relationships are by far the most interesting part of the plot. (Not just the sex stuff lol).

There is a LOT of adult content in this book. If you like serious steam you will love this. If you want a higher plot to porn ratio then maybe look elsewhere. Honestly, I felt like it fit, I never felt like the intimate scenes were out of place or forced. It all just flowed very naturally in my opinion.

Take it for what it is though, this is a very adult book. Very well written, entertaining, and even.... kinda heart warming by the time I finished.

This is definitely different than what I thought it would be. It is a pretty good book if you are wanting some smexy scenes. Now I will say that I was not fond of some things that occurred during the book but I think that it is mainly because I am not too familiar with the omegaverse. There is a plot to the story which you do read about, however it is short description. I think that this book is mainly focused on the view of the omegaverse. I will say I was a bit confused as to what some of the descriptions were when they were discussing the characters. Overall, once I got into the book I did get sucked because I was intrigued with the dynamics of the characters. I will however tell you that you need to go to the back of the book to read the descriptions first, so you will know what they are talking about.

The males are all Alpha's who protect, controlling, dominate, strong and hot. There is plenty of action, suspense and steam. Eloise, is an Omega, on a mission to help save humanity from the Copper virus. She must lose her sense of self and give total control to her Alpha, Logan. Logan and Eloise must form a strong bond through extreme intimacy and control. Absolutely love the Omegaverse Stories. One can always count on L.V. Lane to be hot, but the thing I really loved about this book is the sci-fi aspect. I love the premise, and the war, and the ethical dilemmas. The discipline aspect gets to be a bit much for my personal taste, but I am so involved with the story arc, I want to read more books and find out what happens with the war, and what happens with characters who appear in future books. Also, I have to say that the ending really hit the right spot for me. I wasn't expecting it, and it was great.

This is a different take on the Omegaverse A/O/B dynamic. The story is action packed, super sexy, and has a lot of emotional ups and downs. It's not a slow burn romance; it sucks you into the sexy times fairly quickly. It's not as dark as some stories I have read, but I love the D/s elements and all the spanking scenes. This is one series that I'm excited to continue.
