Love a Good Viking Romance

Viking romances always seem to have a strong, female lead and a male lead that is her equal (and eventually her lover). I LOVE that about romances like these!

This is the first book I have read by Eliza Carter, and I loved it. I truly could not put Stolen by the Viking down and devoured it over a weekend. I loved the plot and very much enjoyed the writing style of the author. I particularly enjoyed meeting Tilda of Skarsmore recently widowed who has been managing the farms of her late husband's manor until King Alfred of Wessex gifts her lands to a Viking. With her home and lands taken, her position as Lady of the manor ripped from under her. She vows the conquering Viking will take nothing else. But the chemistry between the two opposing forces is undeniable. I won't giveaway anything more, but the author delivers a satisfying conclusion.

Well developed characters and good possible storyline, BUT the author rushed the relationship too fast between the hero and the heroine. One minute she is scared to kiss him and then the next minute she starts being the aggressor and begins to be very intimate toward him ! The most annoying thing about this book is the one-sentence synopsis of each chapter at the beginning of the chapter that always begins with " In which ". I dont want a synopsis, i like to find out for myself how the chapter develops.... I didnt finish reading this book. Some of you make like this book, I was disappointed...

Vikings and Danes and romance, oh my!

I loved this romance between two warring tribes. The writing was wonderful. I love how the author always let you know both points of view. I recently watched The Last Kingdom on Netflix which took place in these same places and some of the same characters were in it. I received this for free through Book Funnel but I will be purchasing the next book and a few more by this author
