Frost meets his new mom-in-law

You think you've heard mother-in-law problems? Frost's impending M-I-L is an OP priestess feared by millions, who has single-handedly murdered tens of thousands of innocents, and absolutely dotes on her only daughter... the one that Frost is going to be marrying soon.

Oh, did I mention that the M-I-L looks almost identical to her daughter? How about that dear M-I-L shows a distinct carnal interest in Frost? What could possibly go wrong, right?

Meanwhile... Frost's OTHER wives demand more of his time, and the rest of the village women, demihumans, and monsters are showing a keen interest in joining the wife club.

The accidental introduction of Ayohyous (I.O.U's) as a currency is hilarious. We get to see a bit more of Slade and Hestia -- and THAT cat is pretty much out of the bag now, much to Slade's eternal grief. I laughed out loud quite a few times while reading the book, it's a lot of fun.

One warning for the OCD crowd: the book just got released, and as such hasn't had a second proofing/editing pass. I hope that another pass happens quickly, as this one feels like it got pushed out maybe a week too soon. (Yeah, probably because all the fans kept demanding that it get released, editing be damned. Catch-22 for the poor author.) Anyway, there are a lot of typos and grammatical glitches, starting right on page 1. I counted (and reported) 99 issues in my first reading pass. These things didn't take me out of the story, but if you're OCD about that sort of thing you might want to wait a week or so for an update to happen.

Being one of the most powerful beings in the world who just happens to have a reputation for killing thousands of people MIGHT make you a little unpopular. But if you are also the mother of your wife, well….that might create a problem.

With this outing, the story starts to enter the “sure, why not?” portion of the series, but just put the brain on idle and enjoy the ride.

The author continues to build the world, adding new and interesting aspects to this place where gods are not only a part of reality, but send their Heralds to represent them in the world.

Still fun. Still recommended.

Between the “monsters”, elves and other assorted beings, Frost is busy saving them all. But where is putting all these creatures? Give this a read and find out!

Please don't slow down when writing book 4

This is one of my favorite book series to date. I tried so hard to read this slowly but just couldn't stop. I love the expanding cast and world the author is creating and I see book 3 as a stepping stone to an action packed book 4 now that our Herald has some help in the priestess department. Please don't slow down or wait for a certain number of reviews to keep writing because your style of spicy action packed adventure really is a cut above anyone else right now in the genre. I will be reading everything you written to date now that I've finished this book and your forbidden arcana series and I'd advise everyone who likes this series to do the same.

Five Star Story Minus Two

Too much pure lesbian action. It's fine when it's happening for the protagonist's enjoyment, but there's an entire lengthy chapter dedicated to a 5-way lesbian scene that actually results in one of the protagonist's main girls forming an official relationship with a girl who isn't his.

Also, the protagonist got his butt fingered. I usually drop a book when something like that happens, but it happened quickly, the story moved on without dwelling on it , and he seemed to only go through with it because his lover wanted to try it.

This scene reminded me that in another of this author's series, which I thoroughly enjoyed until the very end, because in ther very last book a shapeshifting girl grew a penis and used it on the male protagonist, who enjoyed it. This is a warning for others who may be as turned-off by this type of stuff as much as me. I'll be wary id the following books in this series. I would love to see this author write a harem story, as opposed to these polyamorous stories.

I really hope the authors will pick up the pen and keep going cause i'll be there day 1 for the book and audio book for that one
