MV ELLIS is well qualified to write happy ever afters—she lives her own every day. She followed her heart halfway around the world when she moved from London to Australia after a steamy holiday romance with a sexy bass player in sultry Brazil. This "God of the Fifth Floor" is more of a demon! Raine Davies is going to have you cursing him and wanting to wrap your hands around his neck and tug him in for a searing kiss all in one swift movement!
He is certainly a handful, and he does not take it easy on his unsuspecting gentle new PA Noa.

Raine is damaged, that's for sure; but I wasn't sure I could forgive him the brutal behaviour he dishes out in this story and I equally wasn't certain I could respect Noa for putting up with it.
But I did, and likely you will too, because that is how well this author writes these characters and their stories.
She endears them to you in how she crafts them and introduces us to them, unfolding their lives and building their relationships with great care and skill, that you can't help but love and travel their journey with them.

It certainly doesn't hurt that she also writes some wickedly sexy scenes, and this story is chock full of them, this couple burns up the pages.
Such a great story!! I'm absolutely loving the GOTFF and the ad world of BR&ND, and can't wait for Dillon and Nate's stories!!

Emotional, sensitive and so full of drama! I’ve never hated a character like I did with Raine, but as the story unfolds you will fall for him. Raine is brash, unapologetic and wants everything his way, but when Noa enters his life he doesn’t know what hits him. Their chemistry is steamy, but their journey so full of emotions up and down from start to finish. This storyline wasn’t all roses but what I got out of it was memorable. This was a definite must read! I can’t wait for Nates story.

Raine is a challenging character with his over-the-top, I don’t care attitude that had me cringing more than once. But at the same time, I could tell that he carries deep pain that he doesn’t want anyone to see. His coping mechanisms are intense. In need of a new PA, Noa shows up at his office but he expects a man. Noa has incredible strength which she needs to deal with Raine’s every changing mood. She is venturing back into the workplace and I’m not sure working for crazy man Raine is the best plan but she finds the tenacity to dig in and fight. When he realizes she is a graphic artist, what was a temp PA job has the potential to be a career. The challenge, will Raine screw it up since he can’t seem to keep his pants zipped? Will Noa cave to his turbulent demands and expectations? Or will two broken souls find love and redemption?

I started reading this but was having trouble getting into it, likely do to just not being in the right frame of mind to read. I took a break for a while and tried reading it again a few weeks later but was still having difficulty. I have enjoyed other books by this author so I pushed through and read this one even when I felt like I was having issues with it. Ultimately, this book is just not for me. I am not a fan of insta-love and this was certainly that. I can sometimes overcome it if I really feel a connection between the characters but I felt no chemistry or connection between them at all. I was actually surprised at how quickly they hooked up because I just couldn't understand what she saw in him. Don't get me wrong, I love a good alpha a-hole male but there still needs to be something that would draw the h to him and i just didn't feel that with this book. Their (non)relationship and feelings were so back and forth, it was hard to see how their feelings would grow at all.

I also felt like we didn't really know the h. You knew that there was something that happened to her 2 years ago (you don't find out what until the end) but other than that there wasn't really anything else about her. She just seemed extremely weak, naive, and kind of stupid for allowing him to treat her the way he did. I felt like we could never really get a grasp on who she was as a character because she would acts differently throughout the book.

This book had the bones to be a good book, I just wish the characters had more depth and chemistry. Overall, my rating is 2.5-3.

There were times I just wanted to hit Raine for the things he said to Noa! She forgave him though and their story had a happy ending! I can’t wait to see what happens in the next story of this series! The guys all have inner demons and stories to be told! Bravo on another amazing novel MV Ellis!

Having just picked up some of Ms.Ellis' books this year I've been looking forward to reading more of her books! As soon as I heard about this one I had to pick it up next! The prologue pulled me in and this story had my attention really quickly. I enjoyed this story!

Where shall I start? Raine is irritating, intimidating, a fool and a very unpleasant character- but you've got to love him. He peed me off so many times with his don't care attitude and persona. Selfish much? yeah that's Raine. Noa on the other hand is hiding in plain sight but she is also holding something back. They work wonderfully together until..... With Raine on a self destruction mode will Noa be there to save him from himself? After all she is only temporary.

Ms Ellis has done it again with exceptional characters and equally brilliant writing. I love the connection to another of my Ms Ellis faves Zed & Xav. Fantastic story you hit it on the head again and again. Well done. Tissues are optional!

Wow what a rollarcoaster of a ride..

I love a great story about two broken people healing each other.
The craziness that was Raine made for one crazy story.
The emotions, pain and guilt that this story covered captivated me.

Raine was a right a hole at times but I found myself hurting with him and wanting to hug him simply to take away his pain.
Noa was this strong, yet fragile girl who held her ground but made you believe she had it together when in reality she was barely holding on.

I think the way these two find each other is beautiful it made for this wild, sweet and very sexy story.

Wow the sexy scenes were AMAZING!!
Raine was hot headed and very sexy and it made me love him more.

The ending oh my god that ending. She nearly had me I was in tears by the end and I felt all the pain from every chapter come at me in full force and I was nearly balling.

I love Ms Ellis’ books but the female character in this book is really annoying me, no backbone! The guy is an absolutely obnoxious dick, he keeps calling her every name beginning with N but her given name, but still she is sexing him in his office the second day of her temporary assignment! If she’s not sure about a contract why put your name on it? Who does that? And leave it in their desk drawer (unlocked I might add). Now she has basically agreed to be his permanent hooker with a job on the side, and acting like a buzzing fly. Obviously no self respect. Ggrrrrrr!
