Saving Each Other: A Sweet Romance with a Dash of Thriller Kindle Edition
A perfect job. A handsome pilot. A side of unexpected danger.
All Maria wanted was to pay off her student loans from dropping out of med school. Becoming a home health aide for the matriarch of the wealthy Mitchell family on their remote tropical island seems like the perfect answer. She just needs to quietly serve while the highly skilled Mitchells perform their daring search and rescue missions.
Brian hoped Maria would help his grandmother and care for the family homestead. But her selfless attention not only puts delicious food on the table—it wins his heart. Even though the Mitchells are guarded, he cannot help but reach out to the kind-hearted aid who only sings when she’s alone.
Then Maria is kidnapped by treacherous enemies who see her as the weak link in the Mitchell chain. And if they have their way, she’ll be the ultimate weapon against the family she’s come to love.
Can a woman who believes she’s nothing and a man who lives to help others save each other?
A sweet, clean romance with a side of thriller and lots of delicious cooking. Features a BBW/curvy protagonist, the clean-cut pilot who loves her, and plenty of heroic family action. Includes some scares and violence related to the baddies, and a bit of language uttered under extreme duress.

I love how the Author imparts Maria’s hidden knowledge and gives her the life she deserves.
I hope we will see more of the Mitchell Family saga soon.
She also catches the eye of the second oldest grandson, Brian Mitchell. But without understanding the dangers, she has fallen into the crosshairs of a serial killer, intent on murdering the entire Mitchell family and anyone else who stands in his path. In trying to save the lives of the family, she finds resources within that even Maria did not realize she possessed. And the Mitchell family discovers gifts within this young woman that give her more value than any of them could have ever imagined.
I found the book to be a delightful journey through Maria’s insecurities toward a more balanced way of life. Her forays into cooking for the Mitchell clan made me want to eat my body weight in food when I finally closed the book this morning! Ms. Posey has a decidedly visceral way of writing that hits you in the senses – both good and bad. (When she goes into some of the later scenes of kidnapping and torture, you get a good hint of THAT side of the story as well.)
I felt her ‘good’ characters were almost too good to be true, and the ‘bad’ characters were evil personified, but that’s the worst thing I can say about this book. It was an easy read, without an intricately woven plot to track or dozens of characters to keep straight, but as enjoyable as a summer day at the beach. If you love those ‘feel-good’ romances with characters you want to cheer for, this is a book you want to pick up.
