A Match for the Marine is about a Marine, Dex, who is 35 and his mom is ready for him to find the one and get married to settle down. His mom signs him up for a VIP matchmaker service and his matchmaker Amy has to set him up on date to try and find his one true match.

I thought this book was adorable and funny. There was great humor and I chuckled a few times while reading it. There is no spice beyond a kiss so if that is something that you like in a romance book then this book is for you. I liked that he was a computer nerd because most of time, they dont get much love in romance books.

Overall it was adorable and a light easy read.

MATCH FOR A MARINE is a standalone read with a happy fun ending. It is the first in a new series that will be based in Hawaii. Any age group can read and enjoy this story. No colorful language or sexy scenes but a great love story. This story is about Dex. He is a big, gorgeous Marine, 35 and will be retiring in a few years. He has been in the IT area his whole career. He is very happy with his life but his mother thinks he needs a wife and hopefully a family. She decides to take him to a matchmaker and see if they can find him a special lady. He is horrified but he loves his mother so he goes along with her plan. He is going to keep an open mind.

He is assigned to one of the top matchmakers, Amy. Amy is a pistol. She is energetic, always business and knows her stuff. She has Dex tripping over his tongue right from the first. He is not sure how to take Amy but Amy knows what she is doing. She has his number from the first. The only thing she doesn't know is that Dex wants his matchmaker.

Amy has worked for her aunt for several years and wants to run the company when her aunt retires in a few months. She is attracted to Dex but dating a client is not allowed so she keeps to the plan. There is a bit of mystery and fun. This story is entertaining as well as fun. Dex is a great hero, a career Marine with a trust fund and a heart of gold. It leaves you with good feelings and a smile on your face at the end. A great start to a new series.

Y'all. Love seems to find people when they least expect it and when they aren't even looking for it.

Amy is a matchmaker on her way to becoming the next C.E.O. of First Comes Love. Dex is a single marine who's mother signed him up as a client at said company. Both of them are so focused on other things that neither of them saw the other one coming.

This was such a cute book. I loved watching Amy and Dex's relationship grow from friends into something more. Some might think that these two could never work, but they totally do. Their journey was a fun one and I loved seeing the walls they both had built up around their hearts come crumbling down. I will admit that it was a little slow going for me and I would have loved to see more interaction between Amy and Dex as a couple, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the book. 😊

I'm really looking forward to the other books in this series. I think Claire and Mateo's books is going to be lots of fun. But I have this feeling that Huck's book is going to be my favorite. There's just something about him that has me intrigued. I think Mr. Jaded needs someone who is feisty and full of sass. Someone who will keep him on his toes. It'll definitely be fun to watch. 😉

It's always a great day when a book by Ms. Mastorakos hits my kindle. They're definitely a fun break from reality and I know that she'll have me swooning and letting out little dreamy sighs. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!
