I love this series and characters. The lion and the mouse has a dynamic chemistry and both powerful. We get to see a more critical thinking Kaz as he tries to maintain his strong will while allowing others help guide him into thoughts he would quickly blow off. Mysh is good for him and he has began to understand her and the Harlem crew differently. With her brings allies that Kaz would rather kill than align with. King David had me upset for a minute but he redeemed himself. I hope he finds happiness, he deserves it. And chile Max had me laughing out loud so much, he is so refreshing. The banter they have when times are gloomy all around helps you forget the dark things that is about to go down. I don't know why Fela knows Max nickname and please bring me more of the Butler and the Maid. I want to see how this plays out. And can we some closure to Valetina story? I love her wild craziness and she still needs to talk to Kaz about her daughter. I can't wait to see how this goes.

First I have to say that I’m so glad Ms Kenya decided not to end the series with the last book because she wrote a masterpiece in this one!
Everything was on a level 10 - the intrigue, the suspense, the conspiracies, the sex, the betrayal, the death/executions, the sacrifices, loyalty/devotion, devastation, plotting, revelations, action - epic!!!!

The lion and the mouse have their work cut out for them. They have to do a lot of work in Italy because the vacation is definitely over. Pavel has a helluva lot of explaining and begging to do. Not only that they have to figure out who was assisting Pavel with the deception and why. Plus the lions neglect of the Italy situation over time has created some reluctant alliances, power struggles, and a desire for more. There are things happening that will have them questioning their crew members loyalty and a desperation to form their own alliances forces them to make concessions and deals.
The lion and mouse love and devotion doesn’t waves but it’s tested by possessiveness, jealousy, and their own struggles with learning when to lead, follow and compromise. There are real threats happening to their lives, a potential new addition that I hope will happen, crazy predictions in the cards, and one chess player who has been playing the long game far beyond what they could imagine.
I truly enjoyed this book! I couldn’t put it down because I just had to know what happened through to the end.

Obsessedddddd ! Uhhhh I love these series sooo much! Kenya didn’t disappoint AGAIN! Please don’t stop writing ! I love that Kaz has David to have his back. Not going to lie I wanted to shoot David a couple times ! I wish Blue was not so idk oblivious and trust herself more and be a badass and I secretly want Her to be with Giorgio can you imagine that love scene! Emily is growing and the all the characters developments is nicely written. I love the softer part of Emily when it comes to Kaz they are both crazy, but each other life line. I couldn’t stop laughing and I had my mouth open moments! This book was dripping with violence, romance, and the love scene were intense! But the twists I couldn’t predict. Especially with Poalo I can’t wait to see the next series it will be dripping with blood great series!!! Bring on the war !

This deliciously long book took me through soooooo many emotions. There is so much story in this book that I’m still dizzy. I realized by the time I hit 80% that I have disdain for Kaz and Emily as individuals and as a couple. Like the situation with Pavel broke my heart… and Paolo truly is suffering at the hands of these two main characters and I still cannot reconcile their actions.

Sending Max and Boris with the French was a plot point that didn’t make sense to me. Kaz is so dang stubborn and refuses to SEE what’s best because of his pride just makes me dislike him more. His obsession with the woman by his side and consistent insecurity needs to be addresses. The man is threatened by EVERY MAN around her and it’s definitely psychological.

Blue/Giorgio/David is a love triangle that NEEDS to happen.

Fela’s tears-long chess game is the most fantastical storyline. Bruh has been playing with these folk lives for YEARS. The revelation with Francesca was exceptional. I screamed!!!!

The ending was “sitting at the edge of my seat” crazy and I loved every minute of it.

Kenya, how you we’ve a story and kill off folks is mesmerizing. My obsession with this series continues to grow.

This series is too much for me! I seriously recommend everyone to read AND listen to these novels because it takes the readers to the next level. I don’t know how Kenya Wright does it, but the world building is fantastic and I don’t think I’ll be able to ever find another mafia story as good as this one. I laughed, I cried and my nerves were on edge. I should be getting ready for bed now as I wake early for work, but I can’t… I must start the next instalment because my adrenaline is as high as all of the main characters! A must read.

The criminal world has branched out and the action has gotten more intense. This is a page turner! Lev and Mysh grow as a couple and as individuals with each installment of the series. For the fans this is a wild and welcome ride. For the newbies: Get Book 1!!! You won't regret it. Thanks Kenya for your hardwork and dedication. Can't wait for book 7.
