Blurry is a captivating read.I'll admit, age gap romances aren't my cup of tea, and I usually find myself rolling my eyes and cringing at the creeper-daddy-issues vibe they tend to have. But Blurry defied my expectations.Expertly written, with well rounded and fully formed characters, by not actually giving so much weight to the actual age gap and the supposed taboo of it, Blurry avoids all the usual pit-falls of this trope, and what you're left with is a fully engrossing, emotional and wholly entertaining read.5 stars and a Vespa

"Blurry" is a teacher-student, age-gap romance novel with plenty of steamy chemistry, drama, and family baggage. The story revolves around Chiara and Alistair but starts differently than most of the teacher-student books that I have read.

The beginning of the novel takes place in Italy, where Chiara is born and raised. Her relationship with her family is complicated, especially with her mother. Chiara struggles with her insecurities and her family doesn't help. The day of her cousin's wedding is when everything changes.

Alistair is on vacation in Italy trying to get a break from his chaotic life back in LA. He meets Chiara while stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire. Their chemistry is undeniable, and they hook up for the duration of his vacation. What they both thought would be a fling ends up being more.

An appropriate fling turns into being a forbidden romance when Chiara attends high school in LA where Alistair teaches. They try to fight their attraction for each other but give in to their temptations. The love they both share helps them get through various obstacles and come out stronger in the end.

The novel was well written; however, I wish more was explained near the end. There is a time gap and I feel like more information would help fill in a few things with the other characters. I did enjoy the book though and would recommend it to any friend. I am looking forward to seeing what Michelle writes next.

I flew through this book, as I have done in the past with books written by Michelle Hercules. Add in the forbidden romance concept and You got me, hook, line and sinker.
Blurry takes a slightly different go at the teacher/student relationship, as they met BEFORE they were in the student/teacher dynamic. Try having a fun summer fling that isn’t wrong, then circumstances change and suddenly, that same combo, is all taboo. Struggling to hide your true feelings for that person.
Chiara and Alistair struggled with this too, but eventually couldn’t fight their feelings anymore. Both face family hardships and are able to come out stronger because of each other’s support. Plus, the chemistry between two is perfect 🔥, as always with Michelle’s writing. I know I say that a lot, but for real though, it’s important stuff! If an author can portray the chemistry, it’s not as 🥵 🔥 ❤️‍🔥, and we need that!!
Overall, I would highly recommend reading this, I’m quite excited to be able to continue this series!!

I had this one in my library for awhile and read it finally. For a teacher student romance it was really good. Throw in and exchange student from one of the most romantic country’s Italy. I only wish there was an epilogue of sorts to read about some of the people in her life after it ended. Karma for the ones that wronged them and un settled family discovery’s.
