The Eternity Project Kindle Edition

A discovery that wasn’t meant to happen.
On a timeline that shouldn’t exist.

When Reid Walton, an unacclaimed community college history professor and obscure conspiracy author, is invited to join a billionaire’s mysterious science project as a history expert, he has no idea why they chose him, or what to expect. Sequestered in a secluded mountain laboratory, he is introduced to their mind-blowing venture: stable time travel, safe enough for a public attraction.

And they already have a working vehicle!

On the heels of this staggering revelation comes another. The time travel technology is suspected of being stolen property. If so, stolen from where? The faster-than-light particles that make the time machine work exist nowhere in the known world except the enigmatic inventor’s possession, who refuses to disclose his source. Could they have come from the future?

With help from the lab crew led by the genius and resourceful Dr. Sara Dearborn, Reid digs for answers to the mystery he was hired to solve. But uncovering the truth turns perilous. Reid finds there is much more at stake than just a time machine, and flushing out his quarry may get them all killed – and rip the timeline apart.

Catapulted across history, Reid, Sara, and their allies must survive alternate dimensions, Nazis, Vikings, and a psychopath willing to destroy anyone and anything, even the timeline itself, if it prevents him from his prize. A prize that offers power more seductive than just time travel. For a deadly price.

The author created a fun and excited story. I loved it and I hope he has more stories like this one. I really appreciated his humor - I saw a lot of oblique references to other films and books that coincided with my own favorites.
Read this book. It’s well worth your time. Cheers!

I like time travel stories and this one was pretty good but it was a little to blah blah blah. Too much yakkety yak and most of the paragraphs were too long and I’d find myself shipping over a lot of them. Romance is fine but I got tired of Sara telling Reid what she was going to do to him. I’m not a prude but it detracted from the overall story. Save that for a brainless romance novel.

Combining genres of time travel (with a thin scaffolding of science, enough to be plausible though perhaps not in this universe), classic thriller and light romance, this was a well written and well plotted outing by this author. I particularly enjoyed the realistic dialog between the characters.

Disappointments? Neither the bad guys nor the billionaire were as well developed as the good guys. The bad guys tended slightly to the cartoonish, which made their scenes a little less convincing. I would have liked more backstory to the billionaire. It was there, but delivered piecemeal, making the things that happen to him in the course of the story mostly mere plot points when they could have been a more effective part of the overall feeling of wins and losses.

Nevertheless, one of the better written and more enjoyable novels of those i give five stars. I give this five stars without hesitation.

I liked this book mainly because it was a different spin on time travel. The story line moved along at a decent pace. I would recommend this book to almost anyone who likes this type of story.

The author lacks the vocabulary for a good book. I don't know what English is being taught today, but decent vocabulary certainly needs to be included again. The book might have actually been readable if all the filth had been left out, but the author struck out after a very short time at bat. I read a tremendous amount of science fiction: I do not recommend this book.

I absolutely loved this book! The characters are well realized and the tense situations they find themselves in are so well written that I often found myself unable to put the book down when I really should have been doing other things - like sleep, for instance! Seriously, if you're a fan of time travel stories, do yourself a favor and read this book!

This book was well-thought out and kept me scrolling till the end. Lots of technical jargon about tachyons (I feel like I could create a time travel sphere, with landing gear) I enjoyed the Dr.Who references and especially the Scooby Doo ones!! I hope Jeff writes a follow-up to this story. It would be interesting to know what happens in 2076.
So, if you want action adventure with a love story thrown into the mist, Get this book!!!!!!

As always this author creates a detail rich vivid atmosphere that pulls you into the storyline. One of the things I like best is the humorous element running through the book which added a touch of lightness to dangerous situations that made me smile.
The plot is intricate, thought provoking and filled with little gems and insights that stay with you. The jumps in time within the book are exciting, interesting and have the perfect balance of accurate history and fantasy to make the book an intriguing escape from reality.
The characters are wonderful with both clear flaws and strengths. This makes it easier to rout for them in their adventures. It also adds a touch of realism is to the fantasy. What impresses me most about this author is that while the book is recognisably his work the topic is different and original from his other books.

Nice plot, but a bit slow in the description. Much better when events speed up & the characters finally go back into history. Not sure the romance adds much to it!

I couldn't finish this book.
The main characters constantly flirted and mooned over each other like teenagers to the extent I felt like I was reading something written by a 15 year old boy.
