Azure and the case of the Clueless Hiker by Verena DeLuca
I'm going to level with you human—camping is the worst! This dragon will never sugar coat the truth.
You may find yourself asking, why would I torture myself with camping for a second time?
Well, the bonding experience makes us dragons unusually weak to the desires of our protectors.
Join me as I take part in a laughable search for a lost teen hiker.
I promise it will be worth the read.
Unfriendly Persuasion by Hillari DeSchane
Hannah MacLamore’s upscale horse camping expeditions offer the ‘Four Cs’—cowboying, camping, comfort, and cognac.
On this trip, someone just added a fifth ‘C’—for corpse.
Carson Cornwell, billionaire real estate developer, has fixed his sites on the ranch.
Hannah’s desperate ploy: take him horse camping to see the beauty his development would destroy.
When he's found dead, Hannah must use all her ingenuity and some real horse sense to corral the real killer to protect the innocent—including herself!
Little does she know she’ll get some help from the most unlikely sources—her faithful horses and her courageous dog.

Rune has been telling tall tales since the age of five. Ghost stories and other paranormal tales are her favorites, especially if they’re funny.
When she was a child, she had an invisible friend. Now that she’s gotten older, she collects weird characters and odd people, both in her books and in real life. She’s a veteran, a mom, and a grandma. She’s also trainable. As proof, the squirrels have trained her to refill the bird feeder on command, and the local strays often just move right in.

Verena DeLuca is a pen name for the life partner duo Sabetha Danes, and N.A.K. Baldron.
When we’re not homeschooling our artistic daughter, we spend our afternoons arguing the finer details of books. Failing that, we can be found walking the many nature trails around our home.
Marble Falls is an actual tourist destination an hour west of Austin, Texas, that we’re proud to call home. While Aconite Cafe isn’t an actual coffee shop, it is the name of our publishing company.
We love coffee nearly as much as Hailey, though we’ve been known to break the cardinal rule and drink tea. (Azure is based on our cat James, who’s just as snarky.)
Sydney Blake fell in love with dinosaurs when she received a first set of dinosaur models at the age of five. Those models led to a lifelong interest in science and a B.S. degree in Geology. She has participated in various field trips and dinosaur digs in the United States and Mexico. She loves to incorporate geology and paleontology into her cozy mysteries.
I like to write.
I write sewing and craft-related cozy mysteries and sewing how-to books.
I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia with my husband and the dog and cat who rescued us. Here I am near my daughter and three of my grandchildren, but I also travel a lot to stay close to my extended family throughout Canada and the US. I have a son in Austin, Texas and a son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in Berkeley California. I feel at home in both those cities too.
For many years I have had a double life. There, I’ve said it. In my public life, I have been a journalist, a public relations prof., a political communicator, and a commentator on radio. In my private life, I have been busy making all my own clothes, which I have done since I was twelve, and teaching a wide variety of sewing classes in Canada, the US, and Australia. As a sewist, I am most interested in solving construction puzzles and writing about that process. I wrote a long-running sewing blog and have published two books about sewing.
Often when I sewed, I thought of the people I have known and the stories I could tell. So now I write mysteries for people who make things. Those who create can investigate. A sewing pattern, a knitting stitch, a missing person, a dead body––the same skill set. I write about what I know, and a few things I have suspected.
