I really enjoyed this book. Cheramine has inherited her grandmother's house and she is filling her shoes as the temporary mayor of Conception Bay. She was mostly raised by her grandmother, but she comes from a wealthy family with rich family expectations, including an arranged marriage to a man she has never met. She decides she does not want to enter into said marriage a virgin and sets out to find a no strings hook up. Enter Deacon. When she sees him at the bar she is drawn to him. He looks like a good guy. He is older than her but not OLD. When she propositions him for a night of passion he can't say no. She is secretive but he tells her his real name. In the morning she is gone. That was his last night of freedom. Now he has responsibilities including winning the bid on his hometown of Conception Bay's renewal project. When Cheramine walks in to the meeting as the mayor Deacon is shocked. Add the fiancé to the mix and he is more than confused. I loved this story.

I received an ARC of this book and what a delightful read! Whelan's characters pull you right into the story--loved the dynamic between Cameron and Cheramie and between Cheramie and Grant! The trope of a one-night stand turning into a competitors made this second visit to Conception Bay just as much fun as the first! Nice work, Ms. Whelan! I'm all in for book 3!!

One Night with You is the second in the wonderful Dorseys of Conception Bay series by Fortune Whelan. The characters are very different from the ones in the first book but still have the same sense of responsibility and a desire to do what is right for their families. It is just too bad that they are on opposites sides of a business project.

A delightful look at having your ducks in a row just to change the direction they are going to go. Life is like that that sometimes with the outcome being better than you could imagine when you planned. I like the characters as they go on a journey of change. Not without hardships mind you but a great journey just the same.

An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A great addition to the Dorseys of Conception Bay series, One Night with You. I enjoyed the first book in this series Stuck with You and book two didn't disappoint me. The author Fortune Whelan knows how to give you a storyline that pulls you in from start to finish. Can't wait for the next book in series and more books by this author.

Cheramie’s life is all plotted out by her overbearing mother. She is in for a surprise when Cheramie finally decides to take her own reins with Deacon. A single night of abandonment goes from goodbye to what are you doing here when Deacon shows up in Cheramie’s small hometown and wins the contract to revitalize the promenade. Spice and fireworks best describe this story.

I loved this book ,the chemistry between Cheramie and Deacon just jumps off the pages ,one steamy night turns into much more then they bargain for .Thank you Miss Whelan for a great read.
