Another amazing book in the Alliance Series. Starts out with getting the full history of Saber's background. Secrets he kept from those around him until the day she walks into the Alliance with the stones to defeat the demons once and for all. Now that the Alliance has a way to defeat them Saber is off to ask a friend for help on building weapons. Saber arrives to the last know location if his friend only to discover his friend is no longer alive. Saber meets his match when he meets Caro his dead friends daughter. When he finds out what happened to his friend he enlist his daughter to help make weapons whether she wants to help thisover bearing man. Caro does not trust Saber even though he has shown her he can be trusted. Saber annoys Caro and their love hate relationship blooms. No matter how much they try and avoid each other while at Caro's parents property they always end up right where they need to be but end up frustrating and annoying each other more and more. Finally after fighting their feelings and other frustrations they follow those feelings. While making weapons they also find a way to break the evil that has been holding Logan's mate Eleana and others since being injected with the demons blood. Finally there is hope for the Alliance and defeating the demons.

I couldn't wait for Saber's story and Brenda did not disappoint! OMG I can't believe my eyes. I was drawn in from page 1 and could not put the book down. Saber is cold and doesn't show weakness until he meets Caro and he struggles to keep his emotions at bay. He loves to rile her up and she gives it right back which is hilarious! This book does end on a cliffhanger and I am so eager for the next to find out if Elena is ok and if they find a way to stop the demons!!;;

I really enjoyed the storyline of this book. I liked learning about Saber and his past. It was intriguing. Even though he was an unemotional, insensitive vampire, I still liked his character. He was also very strong and fierce. I loved how Caro tied in. Her Dad was old friends on Saber. Caro was also a take-no-crap-from-anyone person. I liked her. My only complaint is that their relationship was so drawn out. The push and pull got a bit frustrating as well as all their internal discussions about their wants and what couldn’t happen. I still really enjoyed the story though. And I cannot wait to jump into the next book!!! I’m sure it’s going to be a page turner!!!! And I’m pretty sure we will get our answer to Elena’s situation.

Just when I think I’ve found my favorite story or character she writes another that grabs my heart. I’ve read the entire series multiple times and they just keep getting better. The story of Saber and Caro is amazing and unique. I learned more about this world that has been created and I love it even more. This story is a must read and if you haven’t started the Alliance series then I suggest you buy it and get lost in this wonderful world of vampires!
