Review
I am so blessed to have read Acts of Compassion. The stories and lessons in it are so needed in these times we live in. It encouraged me to review my own efforts to show kindness and compassion including ones expressed with just simple words of encouragement. Some of the stories made me emotional as I evaluated how I would have responded if I was in such a situation.
One thing I love from these writers is the way the text is written. From the first page, you are brought in to the idea of compassion and how it's missing in our world today. I will be re-reading this at least once a year as a personal reminder to keep showing compassion, love and kindness to everyone around me. Thank you Michael & Linda Spangle for writing this book. It changed my life and my perspective.

Acts of Compassion is the right book for right now! Through careful examination of ways to be compassionate and barriers keeping us from that, Mike and Linda Spangle offer an antidote to the fear, frustration and even selfishness of today's times. The authors explain how compassion helps the giver as well as the recipient and they offer thoughtful examples, many from their own lives, of how compassion can work on individuals, organizations, and society as a whole. This is a book to savor and share. I can't recommend it highly enough. Laura Buseman, PhD, retired English professor and journalist
For those looking to improve their own lives as well as that of others, Acts of Compassion is the perfect starting point. Compassion can literally change the world!

This is a feel-good book I'd highly recommend.
Some of their insights into how to speak with a person who is grieving the loss of a loved one will really help me as I attend the next visitation or funeral.
In addition, insights into how to offer a random act of kindness to a stranger who appears in need. Or in a workplace situation--how to listen and observe a co-worker who you don't get along with. Or speaking with and observing someone who appears depressed.
I hope that this book provides some insightful information that you can use.
