This sizzling duet has my heart! I am new to 𝙲𝚕𝚊𝚞𝚍𝚒𝚊 𝙱𝚞𝚛𝚐𝚘𝚊'𝚜 & am now a fan! She created these stories with so much emotion, so much angst and a second chance at love.In 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑰𝒏 𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆, if you think book 1 had emotions, you haven't seen this one yet! This one brings us back to Jacob & Pria's story 10 years later. Dealing with a loss is something I know too well, & my heart truly ached for Pria! The pain & heartache is evident but the angst when she is back in Jacob's life!? It had me on edge! I loved it!This book is beautifully written & have masterfully chiseled characters. I was instantly drawn in to both stories & loved getting to know Jacob & Pria. Their story & HEA did 𝙣𝙤𝙩 come easy. Your heart will be squeezed & twisted throughout these stories but at the end? You'll be glad you got to know Jacob & Pria!And, for the narrations? I absolutely loved the pairing of 𝐽𝑜𝑒 𝐴𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑛 & 𝑆𝑡𝑒𝑝ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑒 𝑁𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑡ℎ-𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑘𝑒𝑟! Ending of a great era of Jacob and Pria. This story was absolutely awesome about the couple who grew to love each other during their college years and then later when they followed their lives throughout the toughest times of their lives. Finally falling into each other! This last book of the series had you all tense up because you couldn't know how or what was going to happen. This story was simply good. The author has done a fantastic job in writing this story. ENJOY!! Claudia Burgoa stories are the best and I will look forward to reading more of her books in the future!!

Years have passed and Jacob is just living because he promised his siblings. He drinks excessively and gets it on with strangers. His life is going downhill and if he doesn't turn his image around, he will hurt his father's record company. After one too many drunken spree, Ainsley decides that he and the record company needs a image makeover. She calls in her best friend Ana, whom she met at the pound when she and Mason decided to go adopt a dog and Ana was saying goodbye to her dog because she couldn't keep him any more due to her sister's allergies. Ana is a PR expert and even though she does not want to work with Jacob, she takes the job since she needs the money for her family.

Jacob is shocked when he finally meets Ana, his sister's best friend that he keeps hearing about for years but haven't ever met her. Ana is Jacob's Pria! Jacob can't believe that she's there and is going to help him turn things around! They both are not thrilled with the situation but in the end, Jacob knows he needs the help and his sister believes in Ana.

The past keeps coming up between the two of them but they never really talk about it. They talk about their past with others most of the time but don't go into detail. Ana (Pria - because Jacob refuses to call her Ana) has so much responsibilities that she just wants to get things done and move on. She doesn't think that Jacob will ever want her and based on his comments, she thinks he is in love with someone else. However, the attraction between the 2 of them are undeniable so Jacob convinces Pria to have a friends with benefit relationship. This way she can keep an eye on him to make sure he stays out of trouble. Pria agrees and it seems that the 2 of them are going along with things just fine but there's always a barrier between them that keeps them from admitting their feelings. When Pria's father dies, Pria has plan to travel the world because she has never done anything for herself. Pria leaves thinking that Jacob doesn't have feelings for her so she must accept that and go on with her life. Jacob starts contacting her asking her to come back but she is invasive she doesn't know what he is doing.

When Pria comes back for Ainsley's baby shower, she gets roped into bailing Jacob out of jail for some very serious charges. This is when Jacob realizes that he is destroying his life and if he wants to have a chance with Pria and make his family proud, he needs to "grow up" and take responsibilities for his life. Pria is leery about Jacob and even though he wants her, she is not sure that he really loves her until she hears a couple of songs that he wrote about her and it's being release on the radio. The two of them, after 10 years since they first met, finally get on the same page!!

Narrated by Joe Arden & Stephanie Nemeth-Parker. Outstanding job from both narrators. Joe sometimes lets his narration speed up like its running downhill (lol) but I didn’t even notice with this duet! WELL DONE!

STORY: 5 STAR

You can’t read/listen to Almost Strangers without reading/listening to Strangers in Love and vice versa and since they’ve been published many moons ago (lol) I’m going to review the duet as one.

I’m in love with Jacob and Pria and no one else can have them. They are mine.

Phew! That felt good getting off my chest LOL I mean these two are the embodiment of *happy sigh* with a dash of *rip my heart out why don’t you* and a sprinkle of *light and hope*. Their journey was emotional and more uphill than any two people should endure, but it was cloaked in hope which made it endearing and captivating for me from the very beginning!

My personal journey with the Decker family didn’t start strong, but Jacob and Pria did an excellent job of bringing back some of my lost love! There are circumstances in both Jacob and Pria’s personal worlds that were handled with respect to their realism. This is realistic fiction at its best. Even though this duet has been published for a while, I am sure there are a ton of readers out there who have yet to experience it so I won’t be giving any details on said circumstances.

I love how Jacob and Pria fit like two puzzle pieces. Jacob’s pursuit of Pria was utterly charming and put a huge smile on my face and I loved every choice that Claudia made in not just their development as a couple, but as individuals as well. They both grew in this duet by leaps and bounds in my opinion and it was a glorious listening experience for me.

The journey to HEA for Pria and Jacob is not easy and it is pretty much rocky all the way thru but again, no matter what was happening, I believed in them and they always made sense. GAH, I loved these two so much!!

The conclusion to Pria and Jacobs story was great but there just wasn’t enough of it. Pria has grown into such a strong woman but it was nice to see her vulnerability as well, especially in the face of so much loss. Jacob is learning to cope with his own loses which highly affects his reunion with Pria. There were times and details in this second book that do feel rushed but the overall storyline is a good one. There is great closure and we even get to revisit Ainsley and Mason and get some much valued progress in their relationship as well

The narration was great. Joe Arden, as always, was amazing. He has such a versatile voice and embodies Jacobs character so well. He was able to adapt to the different stages and emotions his character goes through and portrays that so well in his performance. Stephanie Nemeth-Parker is new to me. She was so good and has a beautiful voice that is so easy to listen to. She has quickly become a newly loved narrator of mine.

Once I started reading this duet I couldn't stop. No sooner had I finished the first book I immediately bought the second one. I cried and smiled but I couldn't put them down. Wanted more of the Decker family.
