When Allie McDade became pregnant, she thought there were only two possible endings. A miscarriage or a full-term birth. Her son Mac, who was born at 25 weeks, lives in-between those bookends. He spent 137 days In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. These are her journal entries during that time to Mac. Allie wrote this in hopes that he grows up knowing how incredibly brave and strong he is. That he thrives knowing how far his little body has come. She wrote this book with another audience in mind too... to comfort moms who have to walk through the unthinkable, in hopes they would feel a little less alone.

BUT it’s also an amazing read for others who haven’t had to deal with that situation and just need a touching, emotional, inspirational story about a mom, dad, and baby who navigate the ups and downs of a less than ideal situation.
