The Dog Days of December Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 276 ratings

Alone in a new town, psychology professor Shawn Daly has resigned himself to a quiet, solitary Christmas. Then he nearly runs over a stray dog. She’s not seriously injured—but it turns out she has other plans for Shawn’s winter break. And that cute guy down the block with the friendly Newfoundland dog? Turns out he’s a big part of those plans.

Dogs may bring shedding fur and a heap of responsibilities. But they may also be just the right thing to give the holidays—and a love life—some sparkle.

So cute I want squeal! Small parts of the story are narrated by by the dog and it just made this story that much cuter. Super short but great for a quick lunchtime pick me up or before bedtime read.

This was a sweet, cute story with a very smart rescued dog. Too short but very enjoyable. This author has a way with unusual stories, such as Rattlesnake, The Taste of Desert Green, Guarded and The Little Library. All of the books have sympathetic characters and lots of heart. This book had great characters and the humans weren't bad as well. Recommend. Cute cover.

Such a cute story! It is sad and heartbreaking in the beginning but it quickly turns into a sweet story. Anna and Lola are adorable. Shawn and Austin are adorable. Everything about the book is adorable.

This is such a sweet story! I love how it begins and ends with the dog’s point of view. Shawn and Austin start a lovely relationship and their dogs are adorable!

Sweet story of a stray dog who finds herself with a new owner, and through a series of events, a new family. Fielding is always great writing story about average, relatable people, and this story is a prime example of that. Both men are a bit older and not gym rats, with average bodies, but a romance between them begins as a result of their doggie play dates.

If you're an animal lover like myself, treat yourself to this sweet, quick read.

Just some sweet Christmas fluff with a side of suspension of disbelief.

POV’s include Anna, the dog 😍 & her human.

A perfect holiday read. I love Kim's writing style. Shawn and Austin have a little help from their dogs in helping them find their HEA. The ending was just the cherry on top.

This is one of my favorite authors, and this is just another great example of why. This is a short, but sweet tale that starts a little bit sad, but brightens quickly. Great job, Kim!
