I read Colorado Ambush by Amity Steffen last year and enjoyed it so much I decided to give Big Sky Secrets a try. It was a fantastic read! 5 stars!

The story had everything I look for in an enjoyable story, great mystery, remote setting and a second chance romance. Eric Montgomery and Cassie Anderson were great together working to keep his little son safe. Wyatt was a charmer and so adorable. I like that the mystery was unique and solving it led to a conclusion I would not have guessed until the very end.
I'm looking forward to Steffen's next book in Feb. of 2024, Missing in Montana starring Eric's brother Seth.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Big Sky Secrets. This is a great read. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.

Rancher Eric Montgomery has recently found out he is a father when his one-time girlfriend dumps a three-year-old kid at his home and sneaks out the back window. He is determined to find her and get some answers. He goes to a private detective's office he finds online. The highway is hard to navigate as there is a terrible thunderstorm. He pulls into the parking lot but as he gets out of his vehicle, a gunshot booms. He rushes to the passenger's side to release his son. A woman calls him in and he is shocked to see Cassie, a girl from his past.

Private Investigator Cassie Anderson bolts from her chair when she hears gunshots. She recognizes Eric and calls him in. A man from her past the last man she expects to see in her office. He obviously didn't expect to see her either. A man follows them and shoots out her office door. They flee out the back. Can she help these two?

A horrific journey to find the mother and get answers as the three of them have become the target of a killer. God has a plan for these three a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan for peace and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life

I didn’t intend to read this book in one sitting, but, once I started, I couldn’t stop. Rife with tension from the very first page, Big Sky Secrets has the kind of impeccable pacing that makes it impossible to look away from the page. The suspense seeps over into the romance and makes everything that much more enthralling.

So, a bit of a reunion romance trope in that Eric and Cassie were on the cusp of starting a relationship born out of friendship. One fateful kiss and things went catawampus — you know how that goes. 🙂 But now they are brought together under the most stressful of circumstances and the past has to stay in the past as they learn to trust and rely on each other so they can get to the truth…and protect Eric’s young (and surprise) son! Lots of romantical pressure to add additional strain to the situation.

And, oh, mercy — the plot twists!!! Gobsmacked. Gasping out loud. Whiplash inducing. All kinds of thrilling page-turning goodness.
