In a bleak world on the brink of chaos, Tolver Farnaz craves an escape. The government’s master of civilian time travel presents a golden opportunity, courtesy of his dubious acquaintance. They’ve secured tickets to Led Zeppelin’s iconic 1973 concert, promising opulent hotels, hedonistic parties, and a shot at executing the most audacious heist in rock & roll history. Seduced by the allure of luxury and the chance to immerse himself in a bygone era, Tolver dives headlong into the adventure, only to discover the stakes are far higher than he ever imagined. As he delves deeper, the clash between music’s immortality and humanity’s fragility unfolds, leaving you breathless, and craving an encore. Step into the vortex of the past, where danger, passion, and the timeless power of rock collide in an unforgettable symphony. Buckle up—it’s Tilt Time!

R. Vincent Tibbetts was raised in Western Pennsylvania during the 1970's. It was a time when their professional football team captured the heart of the city. It was because of this that the surrounding areas immersed themselves in this culture of winning, however those feelings changed with the death of the steel industry. Witnessing the economic shock-wave ripple through these communities from the gutting of such an industrial expanse had an impact on his psyche. It led him to see his surroundings in a new light, he grew to have an appreciation for how things worked, the workings of the natural world, and developing a mindset for conservation.

His interests in art, photography, and film production brought him to California and a career in the entertainment business where he is a Chief Lighting Technician or Studio Electrician.

He is an entrepreneur at heart.

His hobbies include beach volleyball, golf, softball, hiking, camping, and surfing.

If you are fan of time travel you need to read this book. It was a fun read and super interesting for me because I am attracted to books and movies about time travel. Each one has its own idea of how it would work and what the "rules" would be. Tilt Time has ideas and concepts about time travel that are quite unique. There are many times that it gets you thinking about how time travel would affect the government and society if it were actually possible. There are several twists in the story that I will not reveal here, but I absolutely loved. Seems like the story would lend itself to a sequel. I hope so.

4.0 out of 5 stars A fun read

It was an interesting storyline. Chapters hopped around a bit between characters so it took a page or two to see when some chapters were taking place at or about the same time. I was reading the story with Nathan as the main character rather than Tolver. I'm not sure how much I liked the last few chapters. A lot of time was spend setting up the pins but the end seemed to leave a few standing.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Extraordinary Feat of Imagination - Enthralling and Inventive
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 1, 2023
This is a really, really imaginative and brilliant book. As a time-travel author myself, I just think this is wonderfully crafted and hugely inventive. I think this is really a fantastic take on Time Travel.

At an unspecified point in the future, time-travel is possible, and a government agency are observing the past. But there is also a more leisurely side to time-travel, which has evolved into, among other uses, an entertainment industry. A company called Tilt Time are offering tourist trips into the past and the chance to participate in various iconic events, with the strict caveat that customers cannot intervene or attempt to change history. The price is steep and only a wealthy elite can afford these transtemporal sojourns. But thanks to a gambler and a loan shark, Tolver and his three friends are given the chance to travel backward in time to watch a Led Zeppelin Concert.

Tilt Time seemingly offers an idyllic and sanitised experience of time-travel, without side-effects or health risks. It boasts of seamless transitions and a flawless safety record, yet conceals from the public both the risks and the true nature of time-travel. Not to mention the frighteningly sentient supercomputers that control the entire process. The young men become embroiled in a nightmarish and terrifying adventure beyond anything they can control or reverse.

I think this book has huge potential and would make an excellent series. I think the world-building is outstanding and would love to hear more about these characters.

    Holding out for a sequel!
