Great book in a series of great books! The author transports the reader to life on Mackinac Island using real locations and landmarks to tell a lovely story! I was sucked into books 2 and 3 and read them both the same day! The books don’t necessarily have to be read in order but reading book 1 first would give insight into some of the references in the following books but doesn’t effect the current book. Some gospel references and light romance help these stories come to life.

I felt myself so involved in the characters and worried about what was going to happen to them. She writes in such a way that they aren't just characters, but makes them feel like genuine people in your life for the time you're reading it.. This books pulls you in and doesn't want to let go until you've finished it!! So happy to have read this story!!! You need to read it too!! The third book in this trilogy comes out this fall and I can't wait to get my hands on it!!
