Review
I love how this book is straightforward and its techniques are completely applicable. It also considers the impact of social media and offers useful tips on how to handle its effects.
The text begins with the story of Sanil Chawla, a sophomore who was determined to launch a start-up despite the bureaucracy surrounding the process of starting a company for persons below the age of eighteen. He applied the life skills he learned during his teenage years to overcome the challenges he faced and achieve his goals. The work further analyzes other important skills for handling daily situations and how such skills can be developed and utilized.
The book's discussions which involve important skills such as creative thinking, critical thinking, time management, goal-setting, and problem-solving are concise and straightforward. They are accessible to the target audience. Time and financial management strategies and other techniques included are organized into sequential steps that help actualize the book's advice. The work also examines the challenges that hinder the development of life skills and guides on how such challenges can be overcome. The skills included are useful to any person regardless of their background and can be applied in any field. As social media's influence continues to grow, teenagers need applicable tools to be able to leverage it to learn and gain from its benefits. The work analyzes the impact of social media on teens and includes important tips on staying safe and handling social media exposure. It also explains how to maintain and improve mental health. Its engaging anecdotes enhance the discussions included and its suggestions for making money as a teen are also practical. The book forwards tips and solutions that are not only geared towards productivity and adaptability but also ensure overall wellbeing and health.

This book provides steps to follow for numerous goals - questions to ask yourself to assist in understanding yourself, your strengths and weaknesses, and your goals.
I especially appreciated that this book, unlike numerous other teen self help books I have read while trying to find the ones I feel would help my teens the most before referring them to them, explains and addresses everything at a higher, intellectual level. This book does not come across as an adult writing to a child, but rather a peer, writing from experience as well as from research.
Each chapter is SO relevant to situations that will happen every day in a teen’s life (and everyone’s life, to be honest). Goal setting, critical vs creative thinking, and problem solving (and this section is particularly helpful and well written).
The budgeting and money saving/earning chapter is fabulous - it isn’t the same old, same old advice - it offers so many easy to follow suggestions, and breaks it down in a way that everyone can understand. The time management advice is the same.
As a mom of two teens who don’t want to read self help book after self help book, I have read many teen guide books to try and find one I felt would not only truly help them, but that they could relate to. And let me tell you, this is it!!

Teen years are tricky enough with the transition to adulthood, and this guide is great to give practical life tips on how to navigate the waters of being an adult-- with timeless skills such as budgeting, and how to set practical goals in place.
There isn't enough in the realm of practical 'life hacks' about the transitions we experience, and I'm glad this is a guide available -- there are things in school I wish were taught or I had learned earlier on in life, but ... as that is not the reality of the situation I'm glad to know there is literature out there to help navigate an ever changing world-- and fortunately for me, I have nieces and nephews that can benefit from this book as they reach those teen years.

Chances are, you do not know everything you need to know yet. That's ok! We weren't born knowing how to cook or manage our money, and many of these skills are never taught in school. You need more than just good grades to get by in today's world. You need life skills. This book will help guide you and help you stay on track. This book will definitely help you be the best version of yourself.
This book is written in very simple writing that has a great flow and is easily understandable. The structuring of the book is done well and helps navigate the pages and the advice of the author in a clear way. I took down a lot of notes while reading this book and I feel so glad that I read it because no matter what your age is, it is always great to stumble upon texts of information that have the power to simplify your life.
I would strongly recommend this book to all non-fiction readers and to those who have teens at their home or in their family.
