Ricardo has returned home for a month because his mother's health has declined and he would like to be near her while she recovers, he didn't anticipate spending most of his time with his teenage crush.Angi's father is looking to sell their business but she's opposed to the idea so she asks Ricardo for his help since he turned his family's business into an extremely profitable one.I initially had a hard time connecting with the characters for whatever reason, I really cannot pinpoint why but it did turn around and I began enjoying the story....and then we're left with a cliffhanger and to be honest I am truly debating with myself right now on whether or not I am going to dive into the next book or move onto something else.I would recommend this book to those that enjoy Steamy New Adult Romances, Romances that take place in Italy, or Childhood friends to Lovers Romances.Happy Reading!!!

                      One Month Only was a quick steamy read.

                      Two former best friends meet up 15 years later, never acknowledging that they had feelings for each other back then. Will seeing each other again bring those feelings to the fore, or will they realise it was just a childhood crush?

                      Meet Angelica and Riccardo. Riccardo has moved from their home in Italy to London and has turned his father's wine business into a multi-million dollar business. Angelica still lives in Italy; she is the CMO for her father's cashmere business. This business is currently experiencing some tough times.

                      A chance dinner presents Angelica and Riccardo to meet again, and she has requested his help to see how she can turn her business around.

                      The story is written so that we had a dual POV and insight into how they each feel now and also back when they were teenagers.

                      Reasons I enjoyed this book:

                      Easy-to-read, Entertaining, Page-turner, Steamy, Wonderful characters

                      I really enjoyed the story.

                      Angelica and Ricardo are old friends. When they graduated from school, he moved to London to create an empire and she stayed in Tuscany to work at her family's business. 14 years later, he returns because his mother is sick. Angelica's family business is not doing well and her father reaches out to Ricardo's father for guidance thus throwing these two back together. They're both in their late 20s and his mom wants him to settle down and have kids. Through the book, they reconnect and have amazing chemistry.

                      I absolutely LOVE this story. It is written so well and brings you into their thoughts and lives in a way that is so pure. Ricardo goes right back to how he felt about Angelica when they were kids all the while, she had no idea he felt that way.

                      The book ends on a cliffhanger that was unnecessary. Especially because it was in such a way that made me look at my kindle to see if there was something wrong with my copy. This is a quick read and there is absolutely no reason for it to be split into three books. Luckily, I was able to download the second book through my Prime account or I would have stopped reading the series and been fine. I don't even like it when tv shows or movies REQUIRE you to watch the next in order to find out what happens to the characters.

                      I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, through Reading Deals, and I gave an honest review.

                      One Month Only was such a fun read! Taking a chance on a new author is always a gamble but Kate J. Blake killed it! Ricardo reminds me of the amazing Italian heroes of a Harlequin Romance novel. I love those books, and this took me right back. I instantly fell in love with Ricardo but also with Angie! With her drive to save the family business she strikes a deal with an old friend, Ricardo, and quickly they both see their connection is more than just friendship. I really did love this book, I read it in one sitting I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait for book 2!! Highly recommend!

                      What a magnificent debut from Kate J Blake! This might be a debut book, but Kate writes like a seasoned romance author, in her prime! This is the story of Angie & Ricardo, and has all the makings of a bestselling steamy romance. It's spicy, it's got an alpha billionaire hero, AND GOD HELP ME, I HATE CLIFFHANGERS BUT I LOVED THIS CLIFFHANGER. Only one other author has been able to do this to me before, and that a debut author managed to accomplish this feat...You have to fangirl. I absolutely cannot wait to read book 2 so Kate you better release it quickly! I need to know what happens with Angie & Ricardo next, I NEED!
